FREE Sample of Meta Health Bar, Provided by Walmart.com thru Freeflys.com
This sample could not have come at a better time! I have recently decided to commit myself to
MY OWN HEALTH AND WELL BEING for once and it started with a physical last week where I was told I need to lose 20 pounds (at least) and to incorporate more Fiber into my diet immediately.
Yesterday I got my multi vitamins, fiber chews and calcium chews to get me started on the path to a healthier me and overall healthier lifestyle.
I come home from work today and had this sample waiting for me.
META HEALTH BAR CINNAMON OATMEAL RAISIN, I am not a huge fan of Cinnamon but I’m still going to try it.
Just reading the wrapper I see that the benefits fit my needs by promoting digestive health (I have some issues lol) as well as being a satisfying healthy snack!! It also helps lower cholesterol to promote heart health (which I am hoping my lab work comes back showing I don’t have this issue lol)
It does say to drink with a 8oz favorite hot or cold beverage, I am assuming to round out the snack to keep you fuller longer. Until I read the rest of the directions and it actually a Notice stating “eating this product without enough liquid may cause choking. Umm yea that kinda scares me.
I ate my normal breakfast today, had a frozen diet meal for lunch and a decent dinner (nothing diet there lol) and then did a ton of laundry, took a shower and now ready to do some blogging (as you can see) and read some emails etc before settling into some tv.
But hmmmm I’m a bit hungry, normally I would go for a bag of cheetos, and king cone or some other junk food but since I got this sample today and have no other healthy snack alternative I am going to give it a whirl, be back soon….
7 Minutes Later lol…
Before even opening you can feel the bar is soft yet firm which makes for a chewy yet surprisingly “crunchy” for a soft bar. The aroma is spot on = Oatmeal and Cinnamon. Definitely far from bland but don’t expect rich sweetness like say a Quaker Oats Granola Bar. As I said earlier I am not a huge Cinnamon fan but don’t get me wrong it is not overpowering at all. The oats are a good size which provide the right texture so you feel it is not as over processed as others. There is some kind of drizzle which might taste good and add that extra umph but I feel there is not enough of it to even really taste what it is. So I only ate half but it did fill some of that hunger void. I happened to be drinking a Diet Vitamin Water at the time but I did not finish it. Oh and I didn’t choke…maybe that “Notice” is just a sad reminder of the world we live in where companies basically have to state the obvious to avoid a lawsuit.
Incidentally I had to go to CVS and I had a coupon for $1.49 off a $1.99 Meta Bar so I chose Cranberry Lemon Drizzle – I am excited this flavor is much more me. I will update this post by Wednesday.
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE:
So I tried the Cranberry Lemon Drizzle on Wednesday night and I was absolutely delighted. Upon opening I didn’t get a huge burst of aroma which I kinda wanted but I took a bite and yummy the lemon and cranberry flavors pop out each in their own flavor but also as a combination of flavors. This bar was definitely had more of a rich sweetness to it. The drizzle on this bar was more apparent and I could actually taste a hint of lemon in it. This time I ate about 3/4 of the bar because it actually filled me and I was quite satisfied so I will definitely be buying some more of these. Happy to have found something to serve as both a yummy satisfying snack AND a fiber “supplement” to get me and keep me on a healthier path!!!
